ABS and Service light on dash!!! HELP!!!

on way home from work realised i had abs and service light on got home turned off etc - reused car a couple of times later and the light was off!! but then as soon as i touched the brake the pedal kicked back at me - like the abs was workin then the service light and abs lights both came back on!!!
Anybody no where i can start lookin or is it summit ive got to take to a dealership - the cars a 1.4 clio on a w reg 2000 - any help!

Take it to a specialist, they have the same equiptment. Obviously an ABS fault, could try checking the sensors on each wheel, or the wiring at least. The 'service' light is on because of the ABS light

ABS target ring broken or clip come off driveshaft gaitor blocking sensor.

save yourself some time and just take it to the stealers. £75 to find the fault I had the same problem

I had the same fault up until yesterday! Look at all the sensors, 1 of mine was hanging on by a thread, so I replace it and it reset itself!

55 quid! Not cheap and a b**ch to get out. Ended up having to remove the driveshaft from the hub, luckily I could leave it in the gearbox!, then cut off the top of the sensor and punch the rest through!

Took me 2 hrs messing about with it, the 5mins to do it when I decided to take the hub off!
