ABS Lights

Hi

Just popped up the road, got in the car and i saw that the ABS, ESP and the Service Light were on, so i pulled over turned her off and started again, the light's didn't come on?

Anybody else had this before? Im going to work now so will see if it happens again. :S

Covered quite a bit, do a search in the faults and fixes section. More than likely a brake switch sensor. Although mine did this on and off for the year i owned it and went into Reanult to fix on 7 occasions.

def the Brake sensor...mine does it every morning after the car has been in the garage over night.
Like Bjorn has said it has been covered on here quite a lot.

Mine does it all the time no-matter how much I fiddle with
the brake pedal switch.

Heres a list of the possable faults that cause those lights to come on.

Brake pedal switch,
Brake fluid level,
ABS sensors,
ABS rings.

That what I have found by doing a search on the forum over the last
month or so.

How have you fiddled with the switch though? The things i've read are wrong and didn't help me, the problem that involves the brake pedal switch is that the brake pedal switch needs to make to turn the brake lights on before (iirc) 4 bar of pressure has built up in the brake circuit or it puts the light on to indicate a brake pedal switch fault which the ABS and ESP need to work.

If you adjust the switch so that as soon as you put your foot on the pedal the lights come one (as they should be imo) then that'll sort it. Otherwise its a fault somewhere else on the braking system.
