AC temperature selector broken, any way to fix ?

Hi, the plastic knob controlling heating\cooling temperature broken. The one in the famous "AC stuck on heat" thread.
How do I fix something like that ? Are there any replacement parts available to purchase?
Any ideas are very welcome, Thanks.
