Hi
My cousin bought a damaged 2008 clio 1.5 Dci, but some of the airbags have went off, it needs a new airbag ecu, can it be reset, and where is the best place for that.
Its also not starting would that have anything to do with no airbag ecu being in place?
as above for airbag, not starting could be a number of things. what happens when you try and start it ? and i would get the faults read just to see what pops up
make sure you fix the airbags before you fit the new ecu!!!!
also have the battery disconnected for 20 min before you go at the airbags
with MK2 clios you can swap the airbag ecu and the airbag light will be cleared...
eg no need for it to be plugged in to be reset
not sure if the mk3 is the same but try it before you pay someone to clear them
or just fix the airbags and keep the old airbag ecu and get someoone to clear the lights
he has changed the dash, and put in new pre tensioners, as well as purchase a new ecu, but the car is just turning over its not firing which seems like an immobiliser issue, could this be related to the airbags, he's waiting for some man with a fault code machine to read the clios faults.
