Tv's would be cool, expected revenue according to the people who love made up numbers is 16 billion from this market.

It would not be funny if they released a TV, where you could only link it to their new ATV3 and only play their own formats!.

Pretty sure Apple already use Samsung panels in their monitors, right? Samsung already have some stunning looking TV packages. I can see Apple putting them in posher cases and selling trillions of the f*****s.

Content is key. Apple want to make a better UI and make it look good and work as everything should. They don't need the screen to do that. How often does anything use the menu on their actual tv? Very rarely. Sky/Tivo/DVD/MediaPC will be what you're controlling and what you're seeing. Apple can't take over those items.

There's various tv channel apps now from America. So you have an app that you click and you watch the shows from that station on your iPad. Imagine that on your tv. There's already the theory there with Airplay or just add the Apps to Apple TV as it currently is.

Or there's the long rumoured content streaming from iTunes where you pay $xx a month and stream anything you want. This would be massively awesome.

This has all re-appeared because of what Steve Jobs said about it in his book but why would he ruin things if it's coming so soon? Apple are massively secretive. They'll fire people for even talking about someone elses rumours. Hardly likely that a founder is going to give away a key secret.
