Adjuster needed on an alternator replacement?

I'm sending my car into the local garage for an alternator and belt replacement. They've advised me that Renault usually sells them in a kit, and suggest the 'adjuster' to be installed too. The kit costs about £60 or so. I'm just questioning to myself if this is necessary? Of course, the garage will do whatever I ask them, but I don't want something catastrophic happening to the engine.

I'll also be arranging for the camblet replacement at a later date, if this makes any difference

It's nice to hear for once that a garage is recommending that it be replaced. [emoji106]

So many times this is over looked.
