ADSL + Filters

I know your meant to have a filter on every point where theres a phone,But is it ok to have a filter then an splitter with 2 phones pluggged into the splitter meaning 2 phones sharing the same filter?

Its just im having connection problems with the line loosing sync all the time according to the router Log

and im usnire on whether its got anything to do with this or not :S
