ADVANCED DRIVING&INSURANCE

  307 hdi (powered by derv)

Good morning to you all,

I have recently decided to start training to take my ADVANCED DRIVING TEST with the IAM(Institute of Advanced Motorists) which Im hoping to pass in a months time.

Anyway the question to you all is:-

Do you know any insurance companies which will recognise this and give a discount? (Will renault recognise?).

Many thanks

Shaw

They give you a list when ya pass.. or its in the magazine they send ya.

I know, tho, some cars are exempt if they are high performance.. with some companies.

Thankyou

I dont think they will class my 1.2 16v dynamique as high performance.

I passed the IAM test back in 1995 when I had a R5 Turbo. The main reason was that I thought Id get a reduction in insurance (21 at the time and my premiums were high!). But it made fek all difference!

They still never seem interested when I tell them now either.

Yeah, Ive only ever been asked once and the woman nearly wet herself as no-one had ever even had the training before!

Think you should look at it more as saving yourself from an accident and all that hassle rather than financial savings. The NCB you build up (hopefully!) is the consolation I guess?
