hi guys, I have just went my pal to look at a Renault Clio 182 that he wants to purchase however due to the following issue we had to come back and have a good hard think about it anyways everything checked out with the vehicle until we started it up it was a different story was making a tapping/knocking noise when revved up to 2-3k on idle not revved quite no noises.
- no noise on idle
- no warning lights on I.e engine management etc
- when revved to 2-3k makes a tapping/knocking noise
- tapping/knocking noise is coming from top end of engine
Looking at the history Cambelt kit was changed at 60k no signs of dephaser pulley car now done 83k
I thought I would post a thread on here to see what the professionals suggest
Could it be the engine or something serious
Any advice would be appreciated
