advice needed on suspension?

l have a ph1 172 the n/s/f spring has broken would it be ok 2 put a cup spring on it or would that be a total no no until l get a full cup springs all round?

also could anyone tell me if the 172 cup shock absorbers are different to my own ones?

The Cup springs are totally different, not sure about the shocks though.

see l thought that cheers for the help so probably better getting a full set onto the car or just get 1 standard spring

The cup springs are a different rate, as a minimum you'd need a pair and even that isn't ideal.

The other option is to get a set of eibachs.

thanks for the advice think al just get a full set of cup springs in that case then should have no problems

any idea about the cup shockers?

None at all I'm afraid, but if yours are original theres a good chance they'll be tired.
