Aftermarket centre section with standard back boxes 182

Hi Guys,

My 182 has a rattling baffle in the centre section. I'd like to get this chopped out or replaced, local exhaust place has quoted me £100 for cutting it out which seems a bit steep, and £60 for removing the olive joint on the cat and sleeving it. (Long Life stockport).

Could I fit an aftermarket (Milltek/Scorpion) non res centre section on? These can be had for about £60 and I could use it with an aftermarket back box in the future. I understand they are 2.5" not a 2.25" so would need a reducer assuming the pipes would actually line up. Has anyone tried this?

tbh i'd not mess about and just replace the lot for a stainless cat back

I will but hastings want £300 for the modification but a stainless repair job is free - go figure

Just get the Scorpion non resonated centre section (545RN) and fit, should be a straight swap.
