Aftermarket fixed back front seats

Just wondered how difficult acces to the back seats would be with bucket seats installed in the front? The base frames only slide like the originals so you cant tilt the seat forward right?

Any experiences?

Is your car a phase 1 clio? I had buckets in my phase 1 16v, your right they only slide no tilting the only way to get people in was to have one seat as far forward as possibile and the other as far back and they would then have to go through the middle!!

No way! lol

Hmmm maybe not such a practical idea then. I was just interested in some basic £100 bucket style jobbies and kinda hoped there would still be enough room to squeeze in.

The cheapest recliners are about double that price.

Cheers for the help mate

Tell me about it, you can get them cheaper but you need to go direct to the manufacturer, Cobra is based in Telford where I used to live and if you go up there with cash there are some bargains to be had, you can get slight 2nds that have not passed there checks but they fail on such little things that you would not notice unless they pointed it out to you and it often is still nothing to care about.

If i remember rightly when i used to go rallying demon tweeks sold reclining mounting brackets for seats. Give them a look they still may do them.

Cobra would not make the tilting ones for my Clio as they said that there is not enough height to tilt the chair as it will just hit the roof.

Best bet is give Cobra a call on 01952684020, have a chat with them they are normally really helpful, I am back in Telford next week so if you want me to go and have a look at the factory stock I can do, they know my face up there as well so should be able to get them a bit cheaper, also if you pay in cash save yourself loads of money.
