Aftermarket steering wheel airbag resistor help.

  Titanium 182
Right I've had a search and can't find a definitive answer :S

Maybe someone can help me with this.

I bought this wheel + hub kit

To fit to my PH1 172 (I think the PH makes a difference with resistors ?)

Anyway I've wired my horn up and it's working fine but my airbag light and SERV lights are on. Now the small orange plug I took out of the bag of my original wheels airbag has two little female connectors that plug into two pins on the back of the airbag.

Am I right in saying I need a resistor and to stick a piece of wire from each end of the resistor down each hole then tape it up ?

Also which type of resistor do I need ? like what Ohmz or w/e it's called ;)

I would really appreciate some help because I can't be doing with a dash like a xmas tree !

Thanks :)

well i've done mine but its on a ph2 so maybe different like you say (although cant understand why) but i used a 3.2ohm resistor i think, and folded it in two and pushed into the connector, cut up another old resistor and packed out the plug with bits of that and then taped the whole thing up. job done.

Ph2 has 2 airbag connectors. Ph1 only has 1. And they both have different hubs.

Phase 1 only uses one resistor. Phase 2 needs 2, but randomly with the momo kit you only get one lol!

anything between 1.8 to 6.2 is what the airbag/pretensioners module looks for, most people go for 3 or slightly higher.

Ph1 needs one resistor
ph2 needs two resistors
