Age of belts

jus rang a local specialist garage near to me, and he gave me a good quote, but said on the belts its the milage that is important not the age - what does everyone think? i think i will be getting them changed anyway just wondered what people think?? cheers

I had mine done with 20k on the clock. Checked the initial belt and it was perished. Whoever told you that was an idiot.
