Air con problem

Got in the car this evening and turned the car on. Window heater blower will not switch off. No matter how what I do. I've restarted the car. Fiddled with heater settings. But no luck.

Any ideas?

Yup it's the heater resistor/rheostat in the scuttle.

can i just take a fuse out to stop it blowing in the mean time?

not sure if theres a fuse, but pulling the plug out the front of the resistor pack stops it. only problem is if you need them it takes a couple of minutes to put back in.

so scuttle panel, pull the plug out of the resistor and all my heating/air con will stop?

it will only stop the blowers I believe, so just turn the rest of it off using the controls to make sure.

Will a resistor pack from a phase1 fit at all?
