Air Filter....need a new one

Need to get a new air filter for the Ph1 172, best one and best place to get it, any of the traders on here?
I did a service on the car recently and didnt change the air filter so need to do it.
If its worth up-grading then I may consider, but maybe just a better quality "performance" one to go in the original air box would be ideal actually.

Thanks!

Pipercross panel filter or ITG panel filter. Get them off eBay or I think car parts 4 less have a K&N one in their performance parts section. Open filters are a waste of time IMO but some people love them for their noise!! Panel filters are a food compromise!

I'd go with Pipercross, the 3 layers of foam in ITG's make them quite dense,
made my car feel a bit more restricted in comparison.

My point precisely! I have an exhaust system for noise. Plus if I wanted an open filter for the noise I would get a nice induction kit/cold air feed.

When people say pannel filters I got confused, as arn't the filters on a Ph1 cylindrical? Thats what shape my air box is? I wouldnt describe that as a pannel!
But I take it this is what you are suggesting?

^^ yep, that's your job. Panel filter is just the name given to filters that fit in the standard air box. :)

Cheers! I didn't knwo that was the general term for them, thought it was the design of them
However, standard missleading eBay ad - after part PX1486 like the title says, but it is described as PX1593 :-/ great. Hopefully it is a good seller and they get back to my question!!
