Airbag Light

Hi guys
A few months ago I had an incident where contact was made at the front offside wheel. Ever since then, my airbag/serv lift has been on. I have tried everything such as wd40 in connectors, fiddling with connectors, cleaning the airbag computer etc but to no avail. I was wondering what I can do to fix this issue. The airbags haven't physically gone off btw. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried the connector under the passenger seat? Squeezing it back together and wiggling the wires usually does the trick

Yeah, sorry that's what I was referring to when I said fiddling with connectors haha. Sorry for the confusion

Off side impact sensor? Bolted onto sill under front seat

you could try getting the codes read and take it from there.

Where abouts is it bolted on? I'll have a look tomorrow. How would I fix it too? Sorry for all the questions haha

Yeah that could be a good idea actually. Not sure why I didn't think of that! If I was to just clear the code would it rectify the problem temporarily or permanently?

nope, light only stays on if fault is present or if crash data is stored, if you sort the fault light goes out.

I'll see what I can do then. May end up needing a new airbag computer!
