Airbag lights / aftermarket seats

I asked Renault whether it was possible for dealers to sort out the side airbag light issue after fitting aftermarket seats. Question: Can anyone here do this?

Airbag warning lights

Many owners have chosen to replace the standard seats with aftermarket items. This results in the AIRBAG and SERV lights being permanently illuminated as aftermarket seats on 182/V6 do not have airbags. We have a solution for this using resistors, which fool the ECU into believing that the airbags are still present. However, some dealers now appear to have a solution for this using the ECU software. Can you give details of this solution please?

Using the dealer tooling and CLIP diagnostic tool it is possible to change the configuration from: Vehicle with side air bags to Vehicle without.

You can change configuration using the clip no problems.
