Try to disconnect battery and then reconnect. i know you can turn the inside sensors of by turning the key twice then locking it or sumthing?

  PH2 Flamer
Gone off twice since making this thread. Ive gotta do something about it.

Really need my manual lol. If it does it again ill take the ned lead off for 2 mins then reconnect.

Hoping its something simple like the bonnet alarm, and ill just unplug it.

  PH2 Flamer
Done it again.

Car beeped four times when i unlocked it? Can someone with a manual to hand please check what this is indicating.

  Changes to often
when you lock it does the interior light stay on? try it for each door, should go off straight away if you lock it with the button on the key

  PH2 Flamer
Yeah light goes off pal. It hasnt done it for 40 mins now.

Im not sure if ive got water in the bonnet alarm from the jet wash earlier, only thing i think it could be as its been happening since then.

Just trying to find a way of turning the alarm off until tomorrow. Its parked on a secure driveway tonight anyway.

Someone said in a thread i found that locking the car via the internal switch and then locking the passenger door with key blade does this. Can anyone confirm this?

Easy answer/ check if its the boot
mine had the same problem still havent replaced the latch.... ;)
Just remove the black plastic trim inside boot hatch one screw rest clips. Then follow the latch cable and on the side of your boot (clio badge side , right)
You will see a Electrical connector unplug it job done. If it stops going off there's your answer

Once you have the boot lid trim off you can disconnect the connection on the right hand side and that should stop the alarm going off BUT the boot will still lock.

Ive had no problems with it disconnected.
Only 2 issues are because the car thinks the boots shut.
The boot light doesnt come on + if you unlock the car and only open the boot it will relock again

Home now and its gone off again. Got the manual out etc. Led by the gearstick blinked three times. So ultrasonics..

Disabled them, alarm went off again. Wtf?

Ideas ppl?

Or just disconnect the battery for tonight as your nieghbours wont be to happy. maybe tomorrow (as it is french) it'll be ok if not try the boot method mentioned above.

  PH2 Flamer
I did that mate, ignition on off etc etc. What i ment when i said i disabled them.

Yeah have to be battery off time.

Dunno how to fix it though. Give them a.clean i suppose?

Someone mentioned you can diagnose the fault by unpluging the boot lock mech, if alarm stops going off then its the boot lock. Think from memory it's just one screw to remove boot cover and a load of clips. follow the black wire to the plug and just unclip then wait.

  PH2 Flamer
Yeah i did read a thread about that buddy.

But from the 3blinks by the led the clio manual is saying its the ultrasonic volumetric sensor being triggered.

So i deactivated it following the instrictions of ignition on/off twice in 10sec then arm the system with remote. And i got the three noises to confirm it had beem turned off.

But it still went off.

So i dont think its any door, boot or bonnet or additional sensor. As they are 1 and 2 blinks. 4 is attempts to start, 6 is tamper mode and 7 is a serial line error.

fob battery or car one dude?

fob works fine. car battery hasnt given me any issues (yet). perhaps this is the first one?

why would the batt. cause this?

if its possible ill get a new one tomorrow.

I'm only suggesting if the battery is dropping charge it may set the alarm off. Air vents shut?

Off to bed dude so will have a nose at the thread tomo. Don't want of the traders do alarms and stuff, mt audio?

  PH2 Flamer
air vents open mate. i thought maybe they are letting are in etc etc and triggering ultrasonics, but i turned them off?

the only thing thats happened today that doesnt normally is i had 3 polish lads clean my car for me. as i was too lazy and cold. just a jet wash and interior clean though. no gritty spong shiz.

ever since then its been alarm issues.

battery is good shout though mate. worth a punt i reckon.

Yeah, just seems to be bit iffy.

I jet washed mine at local garage other week and as i was spraying in an around the scuttle panel the alarm went off, I think this was because i had locked it and therfore the alarm triggered but im not sure. I had a ph1 and the alarm constantly went off as op describes, couldnt figure it out so cut the wires to the siren.

I was in renault today and the master tech told me that in the scuttle panel on the left the water was really common for gathering and stuffing up the loom and setting the alarm off, he reckons he seen 1000s of older shape clios have that problem and repaired 1000s also.

He has told me to have a look there so im going to rip it all out when i get 10mins

  PH2 Flamer
I do get water down there. The scuttle doesnt seal properly. The alarm hasnt gone off for over 24 hours now.

Strange.

  PH2 Flamer
Havent checked anything mate.

Disconnected the battery that night and reconnected in the morning, had no alarm since.

Even purchased a new battery lol. Will leave it a few more days. And take it back if it doesnt go off.

Strange one.

The reason i ask is because mine was intermittent due to the wire touching and then not touching.

For the whole 10mins it takes its well worth a look.
