alarm problem 182

Hi all, ive had a good luck around the forum and the stickys but nothing seems to answer my question.

Ive just had an aftermarket stero fitted, the sony bluetooth mp3 player from halfords.
Since then when i turm my ignition off i get three beeps from what sounds like my alarm coming through my speakers.
This only happens when i have my head unit in, if i take it off then no sound.
Do i have a problem with my alarm now which was working fine beforehand or am i being abit of an old woman.

Any help would be appreicated.

Its the beep to remind you to remove the faceplate, you can turn it off.

I'm not sure, its a while since I had a Sony head unit, is there not a button that has "beep" as a second function ???

It will be in the handbook for the unit.

Yes that is the one, only a cheapy but had bluetooth built in so thought ideal.

I have found an option to remove the beep in the manual. will have a go in abit.

Turns out that its a standard beep on those stereos and unless you take the face plate off, theres nothing you can do about it.

Yeah the only way to stop the security beep on Sony units is to erm...remove the face :rasp:

Annoying beep though, thought my alarm was on the duff.
