Alex's RB 182 Cup

Hello boys and girls

Pretty new around here but believe me I will stick around!

Just Jumped out of a 1.6 Zetec S Fiesta and into my 182 Cup in Racing Blue. The car has done 59,000 miles and it is a cup model. The car itself was fairly standard when I bought it other than a couple of subtle mods:

Milltek cat back exhaust (with cat :/)
What looks like a K&N Induction kit

So clearly ive got a lot to do seeing as I'm stuck with the poverty spec interior too!

So far ive done a couple of things:

Silvertec indicator bulbs, brighter headlight bulbs, LED side lights (they arent great so might take them out)
Kenwood CD player with USB and AUX

I'm pretty stuck at the minute to be honest with a few things. I'd like to change the interior but im not sure what direction to go in? Do I look for some decent buckets or go for the FF 182 interior?
The Exhaust just isnt loud enough and doesnt sound how I'd like it to, in an attempt to solve that ive got a de-cat pipe on the way but i have heard it doesnt make much difference on a Milltek system. So im looking for a way to take out the huge silencer straight after the cat?

I'd love a re-map but im not sure who to go to. Im pretty friendly with someone high up in Superchips but who is the best person to go to?

Anyway, enough jibberish I'll post soon with my plans, got a lot planned for this thing

If you want louder why not sell the Milltek and get a Yozza?

I'd go for the 182 FF seats if you can find some in good condition.

Looks tidy and you've picked the best colour! I'd love recaros but would try them first as i dont think they are that comfy.

I remember years ago my brothers mate rolled up in a RB 182. I ripped the pish out of him for buying a "baby blue" car.

I eat my words. I'd love an RB 182 now!

I think I will try get hold of some buckets, and xenons. But neither are cheap!

Would lower it but I heard you cant make it pop a wheel if you lower it?

Looks really nice that, super clean engine bay!

Exhaust wise, decat and removal of the centre section will see a marked improvement. Also, bn that KN induction cone. waste of time especially as you won't be able to hear it over the exhaust once you've modified it.

I was thinking of removing the centre section, but is there a specific part I need for that? Or is it a pretty specialist job?

Any exhaust manufacturer. (Powerflow/longlife/prospeed etc)

Its just a case of cut out old, refit straight through bit of pipe. I had mine done and it cost me £40.

Doubt it buddy. Just go to a custom place and im sure they will be able to cut out your centre section and weld some pipe in. Another must have for your car is a skoda splitter as it looks like the original has gone walkies!

I paid £18.37 but i got that included delivery the actual part was just over £12. Bargain

Quick update.

Had the De cat pipe fitted after much drama with bolts snapping etc and it seems to pull a little better and sound a little better, also!

Im preparing for a whole load of flaming here, but ive removed the dash strips and I think i'm going to sticker bomb them Thinking of doing the gear stick insert and the centre piece in the dash too.

Also ordered some new interior lights. Fully chav blue :rasp:

The agenda for this month looks like this:

Sticker bombing interior parts, possibly some exterior too.
Fitting interior light
3/4 plates
Fabia front splitter (need someone to find me one )
and a toss up between a re-map or xenons. Money dependant of course.

Any suggestions welcome,

Ah good man.

The front ends of PH2 sports look great with a 3/4 plate!

Personally wouldn't go for a remap, as the increase (if any) won't be very much for the money..

Alternatively, try an RSTuner here. I uploaded a new map to my PH1 172 when I had it using the RSTuner, was much nicer to drive!

So in the process of spraying my dash strips gloss black. Its only a rattle can job, but I will be doing them properly with a spray gun soon in Racing Blue

I'll get some pics up of how it goes very shortly

So here's a quick pic of the final result. All I used was wet and dry, gloss black spray paint, spray on lacquer (clear coat) and a heat gun turned out pretty nice for a quick job!!
