Found one at last then.
Whats all this unreliability crap all about. Haters?
Looks good fella. Brave going for the 2.4 with the auto box tho.
Think the box is a toyota item so may be ok.
Ive got roof bar envy.

Anyone got a good way of getting an air con line off an condenser?

They are both made of Ali and are basically welded together now...

Dropped the wheels off for a refurb in standard silver along with getting the Super Sports fitted.

Also won a set of new genuine centre caps on eBay for £18 so thats good!

Not sure what day we are on with it now.

Still on axle stands and no one seems fussed about posting stuff quickly.

The guy with my wheels said they’d be ready 2 days late too!

The pas pump came today, so I slung that on in the dark, what a t**t to get back in to its casing, seemed just raving it out and not thinking about the revserse fitting wasn’t clever!

It’s also hard to see in the dark, even with an expensive BMW plug in torch.

Why are you doing this s**t yourself??

It's winter, it's dark and f**king freezing and you easily earn enough to have a garage sort bullshit jobs like that out for you.

Did the math, every 12k miles in the Alfa means its paid for itself...

You reckon you will do 12000 in this before it wears out your patience/pays for itself!!!???

I admire you ambition but f**k me that's optimistic!! 🤣🤣🤣

So tonight.....

fitted the side light bulbs

shouted at the aux belt that won’t go on

called the air con fitting that’s seized on a c**t loud enough to be told off by a passer by.

This evening wasn’t a success.

I like tinkering with cars too but not in winter at night 😂. I spotted one of these in red the other day and it looked epic. Actually looked quite wide from the rear, could’ve been the angle

Nice motor.

If this is the same engine as the 1.9 cdti in the astra then you dont need to remove the cambelt to do the swirl flaps ;)

I had a customer with the 1.9 and if you pin the fuel pump (with the bolts taken out of the fuelpump) it holds it all in place and you can remove the inlet, sort the flaps and refit (y)

I had 2 in about 2008 . A silver 166 JTD deisel . If thats such a thing . ( it was a long time ago) that thing was fast and had amazing interior.

Second was a 156 . Wheel trim spec in red slow as s**t ! Still a impressive car even in that povo spec

The neighborhood thinking ... He's actually working on his own car. In the dark. Don't we have peseants to do such things?

What a car. What a laugh. Well played.

Given his neighbourhood is one where a total stranger will reprimand you for bad language I bet they're all just worried about him bringing the house prices down having the car apart on the driveway.
