Alpine CDE-9880R

Car  133, 182, Kangoo 182
Looking to buy this from Car Audio Direct.

I'm not fussed (at the moment at least) about stalk controls and display so is there anything else I'll need to get to fit this?

I guess this isn't going to come with removal keys - are these the right ones?

I have new speakers etc sitting at my sister house... was just waiting for a new headunit before fitting.

Cheers!

Ive jut bought one of those getting it tomorrow, Good times! Ill let you know how i get on! I had to buy 55 quids worth of wires to make the HU, Steering controls and the ipod to work though, Bad times!

Just realised they're not in stock there. Where did you get yours from?

link to the amp?
Can't find it on net for sale. It's a German brand... Magnat Combat 6000.

The setup I have to go in is;
- Random headunit (now that I can't order that specific one I'm gonna look at others).
- 2KW (peak) 4-channel amp.
- 1KW (peak) subwoofer + 400W (peak) subwoofer (only using that because I can).
- 2 tweeters (unsure of power).
- 2 13cm comps (unsure of power).
- 2 crossovers.

Probably just going for the 2-gauge as this is recommended for 2000W peak amps.

Thanks.

Car audio direct, must have grabbed the last one!
Good job I didn't order this morning then. ;)

i have got that head unit. Brilliant TBH. you dont need removal keys for the apline as it just clips in and out. as for the renault HU you can just use 4 thin nails. or buuy the keys (£3 from halfrauds)

A mate just replaced his headunit and used the same keys I think so either way not a problem.

As for cables was it just a simple unplug and then plug in?

they are both on ISO sockets so yes... unless you wanna use the leads to make the adapter work then you have to take dash off... i did have one problem though. i found that there wasn't a perminent live so had to do some jigging so i dint loose all my radio stations etc

Just found out they're actually 6.5" speakers so gonna have to do some funky stuff in the door. :P

Considering this one now ( http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer-dehp6000ub-p-6312.html ) because I like the clean look of it. The orange colour would be nice, but it's not something vital to me.

Anyway.. not ordering until the morning so got some time to look around. Will take a look at other headunits on the forum and see what others have chosen.

what about these leads? Alpine APF-D102RE from ICE direct

auto leads from halfrauds - 35 quids. Matt H. i wouldn't bother with that HU. a friend has one and tbf its not that good... bluetooth on it is abit iffy aswell (if you go for that option)

Will only be using CD/USB so that's not an issue.

Will take a trip to Halfrauds tomorrow and see what they've got on demo, then take a look online for prices.

Will take that one off my list though. ;)
