No thats just the normal USB cable...

They do a seperate "Full Speed" cable aswell.

Yeah but the usb lead is better, faster and higher quality sound. I sell Alpine products for a living. USB lead is the best to use and its in the box!

They sell a full speed lead cos the xoo1 is the only unit from 2007 that had usb control. The full speed lead is for all other alpine units. You can plug it into the x001 if you have another ipod but the usb is the better lead to use. DEFINATELY!!!

Yeah there is. Comes out in april. The alpine rep was in our shop on friday and gave me a rough date. The x200 and 300 are out now but have got the simple dot matrix screen insted of the one like the x001 looks good tho

Aye just fancied the cheaper one, does the job, better sound quality that the original (just) but its main thing is the ipod control, works really well

Yes it will. Anything from gen 5 normal ipod and all of the nanos including new ones and the touch

I've been looking at getting the x001 as well, and then I found out that the x100 is coming next month.

Now I'm umming and ahhing as to what I should do.

I have the X001 and love it, dont miss CD's at all as they only get in the way anyway. Screen looks mint and the searching through the playlists with the wheel is very easy.

Yeah that seems to be the going rate... I want to try and get one with the Bluetooth unit included like there is for the x-001.

I doubt youll get one for 225!!! 300 retail and alpine margins are being massively cut this year so their stuff wont be available so cheap. I wouldnt preorder for next month as there are no guarantees as these internet based companies wont be getting them first and will just take your money and send one when theyve got them! I work for an elite alpine dealer and the rep doesnt even have a defo date for them.

Yes it will. U can use the usb lead but features and searching etc will be very limited compared to an ipod as it was specifically designed for the ipod. i tried an I river with it and it worked but not anywhere near as good as an ipod. Using a full speed lead to 3.5 jack on that unit will be pointless tho as u will only get sound through it and no adjustabilty or search features.

That's £225.95 + P&P, but I do appreciate your point, which is why I'm gonna wait for whenever they're released before I consider buying one.
