Alternator fitting

  2004 Clio 182 cup
Fitting an alternator on my 182 cup this weekend any tips to make it go more smoothly? I know the bumper has to come off an driver headlight but need to no more about the jubilee clipp? Thanks in advance.

Wrap it around the tensioner and tighten it until the belt is slack.

Or get the proper tool to fit the tensioner and use that to take off the tension

Slam panel off also

Head light and bumper don't need to be removed. It's fiddly but can be done without

For the 2 mins it takes, might as well.

Especially getting the belt back on. 100x easier with the headlight off.

I couldn't get the torx bolts out of the bumper arch liners totally rotted and rather than drill them just percervied with bumper and headlight in place

I managed to do it without taking the front bumper or head light off. Released the Slam pan bolts to allow a small amount of movement, released the bolts off of the aircon pump to allow for a bit more movement too. Managed to then undo all the bolts and pull it through the front grill hole. Saved a lot of time
