alternator question

on the new engine i have an alternator set up of a 94 1.8 16v clio as shown here....

i put my custom loom on my engine yesterday and realised when i had my loom made, it was the cup alternator set up on there. now i have lost my power steering, i went to this set up, but the plug on my custom loom it wouldnt fit the 94 alternator.

so my question is, will a cup alternator fit in the place of the 94 alternator.

You'l just have to try it im afraid, if its the same as mine it wont fit

I have the same brackets on the F4R, tried to fit a 172 alternator but it sits over too far slightly one way and doesnt line up with the tensioning bracket properly, so im still running the Mk1 alternator!

i know on the cup, the top alternator bracket is the same, so was hoping that could be the one!!

If you look on the Valeo parts master website it will show you all the different dimensions there
