Heard some chatter that Amazon are going to be able to delete certain side loaded apps remotely from your firesticks now.

Yep, known streaming ones.

Let the fun begin.

However, why worry? Plenty of other devices on the market which are even better than the FS.

If anyone is looking, GD1 and GD2 Android devices are decent. Plenty here if needed, cheaper than usual outlets.

Oh I have no doubt I'll need to buy a new android box soon just to run my box. She likes the firestick as we have prime for videos etc, although we have that on the TV too, so guess I just wasted £25 when our FS died the other week lol

Dont see how you wasted it? Presume you bought a 4k or 4k max..... If not, silly for the price. But relax, it wont happen overnight, panic over nothing.

Again, why worry, when its not enforced or such. Any good service will have their own apps, which will have different names on the background so wont be blocked as such. If not, well, move onto a different supplier.

Plus amazon application etc will be around on normal android devices, not sure what the actual issue is there? Its all android so nothing changes.

Its an excellent box so far.

Cant complain with it.

I used to have a Z11 Pro but in the end wanted an all in one solution so just use an Apple TV 4K box with Proton VPN and UHT and a paid IPTV service, then I can still use proper apps for all other services rather than TV or another box for others. I’ve found the Apple TV box the best by far for an all rounder.

Out of interest what are people playing for their IPTV a year and for what type of service? Mine is around £60-70 a year, all live channels without many buffering issues plus TV series and films although I don’t use it for that as the quality is average at best, this is through some guy on fb, fairly small operation compared with some so hoping it stays around for a while.

I pay £100 a year for IPTV, VOD movies/series and access to Plex server with 80k+ movies/shows/replay's. It’s £60 a year without the Plex access.

Do you mean UHF? I use that and Infuse for streaming direct links from Stremio and my NAS.

Perfect combo on an Apple TV.
