Glad to hear it won't be on a chocolate box :)

My turbo really could do with a vag box but as its just a fill in car for the mrs to get a bit of practice in really I can't justify the 3k ish price tag including diff etc just for the sake of a dozen trackdays or whatever it is realistically going to do while I own it.

So based on the fact you must be thinking along similar lines of cost versus return, am I safe to assume this one will actually be a keeper? As otherwise what's the point in you doing it yet again really?

it doesnt look like it has xenon headlights from the pics?? is it a cup?

No the lights were removed last mot and replaced due to "flickering issues" in other works some lad at the MOT place wanted them for his car and replaced with Cup ones... Some thing again im not to bothered about but i didnt bloody notice when i got it :)



Paint ordered today and collecting tomorrow :)

What a bargain, glad to see your back, suppose your gutted you sold me that engine now? ;)

As for colours you've done the best 2 colours before! Loved the Trophy red ph1.

As good as White is, don't do it! Pain in the arse to keep clean!

Lewis, i am a bit LOL, im not to bothered as im going to do soem thing different any ways this time and use a head from a different model to see what happens :)

Standard 172 bottom end and 197 head works well on mine.
Nice having the Vvt and turbo together.

Little update to report, Due to various working still hours and doing bits for a friend, but i am now pleased to say that the Dent man id coming tomorrow to remove the car park dents, the Bumpers/ rub strips have been removed and rubbed back ready for paintwork that i hope to do thus day night. I am away all weekend so little else will get done. But its a start for the moment.

I hope the colour looks good on a 172! :/

I really dont know why, as I shouldnt, but I do actually genuinely care what colour you are going to pick for some reason, you have just strung us all along so well! lol

Well ive had the dent man remove all dents, started to rub it down, painted door checks, rub strips, handles, boot area, inner doors, roof moulds :)

Here is the colour ive chose.... Ill let you all guess the colour :)

Looks the same colour as the audi dolphin grey'd 182 thats for sale at the minute, or a mazda grey
