ive got a pair had them on my old clio! they fitted in jus had to make some better brackets for them :)

  CLIO Iceberg 172
i had a set on my old metro, great lights for driving, but make sure you angle them right so you dont blind people,

also wireing it all up is a b**ch, you need to get a relay to link it all into, which dont come with the lighting kit, and also the leds are not as robust as you think, the vibration kills them, and if you dont weather proof the whole rig it rusts and stops working, i had to cut out a whole section of the loom due to it rubbing on the bumper and it chafing though the wire,

great lights when they work, just watch your placment and how you wire it all in.

dont know! will find out when they come on mon-tuesday!!

The other set has been taken now?!

Was that anyone on here?

i bought some lamps with 100mm lenses a little while ago and ended up taking them back as there was no way they could be made to fit without butchering the bumper.

the OE lamps are 90x100mm, as is the hole in the detachable lamp surround; the 100mm lens could have been made to fit this surround by cutting or reforming it with heat but the main problem was in that there was no room to mount the lamps in the bumper - the bracketry only really allows room for lamp bodies that aren't much bigger than the lens.

i did look at some angel eyes and suspect you'll find you have the same problem as the lamp body is likely to be too big to fit in the bumper.

i've been looking into this recently and think the most interesting option so far is these: http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod/90mm-headlights.html.

they're Hella 90mm headlamp units but they're expensive and they're still going to be a pig to fit - would have to fabricate frames that bolt up to the brackets on the back of the bumper.

would be v interested to hear how you get on with yours

will try them!? I will make them fit! Always sell them on if they dont fit!

Ed

Got them today! Look good!

They are a bit big but im sure we can get around that! By making a new bracket for them!

The wiring up is going to be the hardest!

i had them on my mk2 ph1 clio mate. really easy to wire up... just needs one hole to be drilled through to to the bay and top dash off to do one of the earths...

not the best pic.
if you get stuck give me a shout :)

i think the Ph2 lamp mounting is different

spotted your other thread about your taking the bumper off the other day - could you may be take some piccies of what you come up with? would be dead handy

may be wrong but didn't think angel eyes had internal beam adjustment (unlike the OE foggies), which i thought might be another headache

anyway, good luck with it :)

This is the bumper i got -> http://i9.ebayimg.com/06/m/000/9f/cf/715b_19.JPG

Ah i might need some help fitting them, help with all the wiring needed! How do i link them in with my headlights?

On my bumper i cant bolt it on to anything, will have to make a different mount for it!

It should look good when fitted!

B

Brown.

angel fog lights look sweet......angel eye head lights on any thing other then a beemer look kak

is there actually room for the lamps between the OE fog brackets that are moulded into the bumper?

if there is, you'd have to fabricate some sort of framework that allows you to bolt the lamps to the frame and the frame to the OE brackets

not sure mate. it's a thinking cap job - you'd need to take a good look at what's behind the bumper. when i had a look, i thought it might be easiest to fabricate some sort of frame that uses the existing bracketry that's moulded into the bumper.

whatever you come up with needs to allow for adjustment of the lamps though (as you need to be able to aim the beams)

what did Robclio98 come up with?

off to wire it all up!!

Should be fun! Will have to see about mounting them later!

  225 powered mk2
i just made up some quick small frames then bolted them onto the surrounds. bit different on the ph2 but should be able to be done.

Then for aiming them. they come on a metal bracket so i left that loose when i put them on... turned them on and adjusted them :) jobs a good un :)

oh, i bought these in halford, never got round to fitting them! they have been in the boot for over a year now. if i remember rightly i neeeded to alter the bracket for them to look spot on.

i think i might fit them now!

well aslong as they fit into the hole, they should just be able to be srcewed into the top of bumper. well im fitting my rear 172 bumper, washing car, installing stereo, speakers and sub. will have a good look at fogs see if i can work out the best way to fix them. wiring on the other hand, i wont have a clue.

Erm, ive lost the instructions, lol. might not fit them tomorrow then. just found out that they are the oval shaped ones also.
