they're meant for a phase 1 and were on special offer. just had to change the original wiring to matc a phase 1 and then plug and play.

also, I fancied a change with my wheels diamonds. I painted them ford electric orange tonight but Im a bit unsure. Looks more gold. I haven't put them on the car as its pissing down. Heres a pic of them on the centre cap though.

little update.

just bought some 172 xenons off ebay so I'll get them gleaming and whack them on probably next week. Also I bought a splitter, meant to be a fat megane one, but when its came its a chunky plastic one with vents :s so that wont be going on the car. just going to clean my skoda one and stick to that.

Haha cheers mate. Think they lower 35-40mm. They're quality springs to be fair, good height and good ride. I've though about coilies but I don't want to get rid of the ride quality. I'll have a look at your progress thread when I get home tonight mate.

Got them off eBay last year mate. We're £45 for a pair. They're the ones with the longer bolts though, not bolt to hub. Doesn't make any difference to me tbh haha

Brilliant mate. Be careful on the first drive with them on the front(if you buy them). Steering is a bit lighter at high speeds. Nothing to worry about and you soon get used to it.

hello mate, thanks, spent a fair it it on it but tbh I dont mind at all haha


yeah mate, they're a straight swap, plug and play. Only problem I had was aligning them manually, but that took 5mins to sort.

you can fix your lights by using wet and dry and sme rubbing compound and srp.

Nice thanks! Think if i can get hold of a good pair of xenon's ill not bother about trying to fix my cloudy ones. Xenon's look soooo much better Might have to ask for your help when it comes to aligning them though :S

They need a refurb mate. Been quoted 65 per wheel but ive seen 182 alloys go for less than that. Tbh I don't want to spend big money on a refurb or new wheels. If anyone knows a cheap place in the north east that refurb, give me a shout. I've tried we fix alloys.

na, I love the darkness of the car. can't go back silver now haha Ive just sent a few emails around to wheel refurb places for an extimate.

I've been quoted £265 by two companies for a refurb on my wheels. I used the wheel specialist and we fix alloys. Not very happy at paying that price. It's cheaper to buy new wheels.

well after some thought, I've decided to sell the car and look for something a it nippier and newer. It won't be an RS as insurance is ridiculously high even though Im 23. Everything is up for sale in terms of mods on the car. to list some;
xenons
RS grille
172 interior
wheels(would need a swap for original 15 renault alloys)
172 rear bumper
spoiler

still loads more to get rid of, some bits will be on ebay as well. Pm for prices or make an offer on what i have. I'll make a sale thread when I've got everythig sorted with pics etc.
