Another knackered exhaust - help!

Right, got home this evening and heard by exhaust blowing. Now, I'd like to replace with something other than standard if posible as it's the second one to go (checked the invoice and it's been on the almost 3 years to the day....)

I've done some searches but can't seem to find what I'm after. Can I get an aftermarket backbox only (rather than whole system)? £400.00 is more than I can really afford at the moment.

Alternatively, can the old box be welded back on? It's still hanging on, but at a weird angle....

what's the damage like? (piccie?)
might be possible to weld it back together for a modest sum but if it has corroded from within (as they do), it's probably a false economy

you can buy stainless aftermarket backboxes for much less than £400 (but likely more than the £120 OE silencer)

you can well it depends how rusty it is. think the back box is dealer only they aint £400 though is there any in the for sale section?

I did have a look at this, but then I'm looking at £464.00 + fitting (£40.00ish?)

Thought about, with the discount they've just been giving. Rather typically, my exhaust gave way the day after the offer expired

I've been mulling over getting rid of the car, so maybe I should just go standard again :dead:
