Another PC problem...

My PC has been running very slow for the past while, so deleted everything I didnt need and done a disk clean up then a defrag, thot that might help but no! Do a virus check, turned up nothing...

Pressed Crtl, Alt and Delete and my CPU usage is at 100% all the time, even when there is no programs running and it is just at the desktop?

Any one have any suggestions?

Yeah, clikc on the process tab in Task Manager. Me thinks Malware.... or more dodgy Belkin wireless b****cks.

Sounds horrible

Kill the process, try and prevent it from starting up again using mcsonfig -> startup

Get yourself spybot s&d and adaware personal and do a clean sweep of your machine. might be worth running "Hijack this" too.

click it and click end process. Check ur pc still works ok, if something stops working restart it. If ur pc appears to work fine it could be spyware.

I have ended the process and the PC is still working fine, so it is most likely spyware so downloading Spybot S&D... il let yuou know how it goes

In all seirousness though, no it isn't good. Get rid. and stop using IE!

^its still IE. still has most of the same security problems. Just tarted up to have similar functionality to firefox.

Daz182 you need shooting for recommending IE7. It is riddled with problems!
