I started a new thread last week asking what polisher to buy etc very confusing. I went for the g220. Quite a few questions here

The car has swirls will the yellow meguiar pad be ok with the menz power finish P0 203 or will i need a cutting pad with a cutting polish ?
Also i tried correcting headlights yday and they still have light scratches and are a bit hazy will i need scratchx or just do a few more goes over with the megs 83 Dual action cleaner/polisher i used the 4" polishing yellow pad, again do i need a cutting pad for this ?
Sorry newbie to this and im very confused. Thanks

For headlight correction you need to wet sand really (if its the clio you're talking about). You can get an idea of what it takes by looking at the start of me thread here - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...172-Enhancement-Detail-(Pic-Heavy)&highlight=

If the car is slightly swirled then yeah a yellow meguiar + 203 is fine (as long as you get on okay with it and do it properly). You can achieve 80% correction with this no problem.

The best way is to start off gently (i.e. not too abrasive) so try the combination above. Then if that doesnt work to your liking, step the pad up to a cutting pad. Then if thats still not good enough step up to a cutting polish.
