Anti-roll bar + break discs + pads + rear axle

Took my car in this morning for the tracking doing to get my wheel straight as it was annoying me. The guy got me to come and look at the car and said the back wheels are out a bit too and if the front wheels were straight it could possibly cause more problems and there were other things that need addressing first.

I had noticed a rattling sound when driving too and was going to ask about that, i thought it would be the CV joint but it turns out the sound was coming from the anti roll bar, he tugged at it and it was clanging when he was doing it, around £35 fitted for it sorting. Sound about right?

The next was the break discs and pads. The garage i went to before said they didn't look like they needed doing yet but this new place is saying they do. Around £90 for them fitted?

He also mentioned there is something out with the rear axle which is causing the rear wheels to be out, probably because of an accident it was involved in the past with. He did not say anything else about it, anyone shed any light?

Cheers

If your rear tracking is out its not adjustable i think (may be wrong but dont think i am), so that means whole new rear axle! could be a very pricey job only from what i've heard though!

No rear beam is 100% spot on from the factory. They're always out by a click or two!

You can correct it using camber shims iirc.

Discs and pads i'd do your self. Genuine renault discs and pads for a 1.2 aren't mega bux. You could do it yourself for about £40 all in using non genuine parts.

The anti roll bar i'd get the garage to do as you need some sort of press i think.

Didn't take in any of the numbers that was on the machine, they were using one of the digital ones for it. He could sort the fronts but didn't want it to feel worse after so i said leave it for now.

I will look into the shims and ask about it.

Will also probably get the drop link sorted by the garage if its only going to be £30 fitted however GSF have kits for them for around £4 each?!?!

Will also look into changing the discs and the pads, any guides? Will speak to my grandad, he does it for a living just hardly ever see him, although i know he has jacks for cars etc..

Plus one more thing, the garage said i had 'vented' discs. For such sites as GSF what part would i need from there if i was to buy it and sort it myself (gives me somethnig to mention if i contact my grandad lol)

Cheers
