The 172 to has been in for some work got it back the other day and had it up on the ramp and spotter this on the driveshaft i believe

Which side is it?? Passenger side?

no thats drivers side

and that thing is just a dust cover for the seal

just push it closer to the seal

ahh kool some1 mentioned it being a dust cover just wanted to check as its really loose may have a play with it again tomoz to stop it sliding away like it has in the pic
