anyone dealt with bell insurance?

they seem to be the cheapest for me at £146 a month (eeek!) for my 182.
ive just phoned and enquired about cancellation costs etc as im hoping the 182 will sell within a few months so i can get a cheaper insurance grouped car!

anyway, the woman couldnt tell me until i open a policy! im just scared il pay £1465 in 1 go today, then cancel the policy after say 2 months and not get much of that money back! i thought it was logical to charge the £45 cancellation fee and then say 2 months of usuage at £146 a month, but it doesnt work like that apparently..

argh, damn insurance!

iirc ur with elephant now so will be exactly the same costs

im sure it says on the docs somewhere

^Admiral/Bell/Elephant are the same company, but their prices do differ and quite substancially in some cases.

Anni have you tried adding your mum on as a named driver? Usually good for a 15-20% reduction in costs.

Im with bell and they have been great.
Very polite on the phone and when my clio was hit by a truck thed it fixed and back to me very quickly

they told me before signing up. only 30 pounds cancellation fee at any time although your first payment is a lot more as a sort of security deposit. Theyre pretty good to be honest.

Im with elephant now and they seem pretty good, mind you i was with Direct Line before who were also very good, until i had to make a claim and then they transformed into the biggest shower of sh1ts going.

Yeah really helpfull, so much so that I have 1 car with bell the other with admiral.

im aware bell and elephant are the same firm but elephant were about £300 more so i went with bell. seem a lot better than elephant, i actually get to talk to english speaking people rather than indian or american as with elephant!!!

Bell managed to beat my renewal with Admiral and let me drive other cars so alls good with Bell
