Anyone got a fix for a creaking clutch

Ok next problem with the car... the clutch has been started creaking when you push the pedal up and down... its not the pedal assembly... and I can hear the noise coming from the fork on the gearbox... so it this likely to be the cable... the forks pivot or the fork on the back of the thrust bearing itself... has anyone else had this and found a fix? I dont want to start spraying wd40 down the boot around the fork and mess it up..

I would of thought the mech and cable first.

If you can single it down to the release fork then its probably the pivot, not the bearing.

Yeah... I think its the pivot... can you simply spray wd40 down the boot covering the arm??

If not Ill take the airbox off and pull the boot of if it comes off that way

So long as you dont get it on the friction material.

But if you can, get some lithium grease on it.

Ok Ill have a look at the weekend when I have some time.. Ill take the airbox out to get a better look at it... Thanx BenR

if you pull the fork gaitor off/back you can see the pivot bush. see if you can get a bit of grease down there but dont get it on the clutch itself.
