Exactly - lol!

Must be great getting a buzz from building a car from the chassis up. But imagine actually welding it together in the first place? A proper achievement.... :cool:

That will never be made up in to a full shell, far to much hassle, will need jigs and all sorts to be fabricated.

The value in that lot is in repair panels for already complete but damaged shells with the right ID's already attached ;)

Very cool auction lot none the less.

All you need is someone who already has a couple/loves these and wants it done. It can be done.

I agree though, it'll never be the same as if it rolled off the line.

It might even be better lol

Oh I'm sure someone 'could' do it but there won't be any value in doing so, the only way in terms of financial viability is either you don't care how much it's worth at the end of a very large amount of time and money or you have a scrap type 49 shell and 'transfer' the ID to the new one.

Personally for me the interest lays in buying the panels to repair a rotten T'49.

I imagine they will end up over on OSF forum :)
