Anyone managed to sort out their v-maxx camber themselves?!

fitted the 'maxxs on saturday, i thought i'd be clever and put the camber bolts in at maximum neg camber, nearly killed myself going down the street!!

I tried them again at 'central' both sides thinking this would be roughly O degrees, how wrong was I.

it is skatey, light on steering, tramlines like f+++ and wheels are noticably looking negative!

anyone else actually managed to sort these out themselves??

they have camber adjustment? lol i have no idea what mine are on then.

tbh I thought they were fixed, but they do come with the bolts. nightmare to try and sort out.

The bolts are the top ones Scott, with the washer and U bracket arrangement.

the bolts come with the front shock/coil unit. I'm affraid tbh that there isnt enough adjustment in the bolt because at centre im still very negative.

there is an alignment centre near me, does anyone know a rough price for tracking and camber adjustment (which is way out!)

Yeah they only go on one way but if you twist the bolts clockwise and anticlockwise whilst they are in the strut this adds and takes away camber.

I paid about £100 for mine fully setting up, front and rear.

i managed to set them up myself. spend a few days playing with the camber but i got there in the end. car handles well and steering wheel is central. will be going for a full geometry set up soon though just to make sure its alighned properly.

right Firas, hopefully you can help me, when the bolt is in, the 'flat' part of the camber bolt on mine is at the top 'central' and the first time I fitted mine i put the flat part facing me, where are yours facing, are yours all the way round facing the engine by any chance? or partly around?

When you set camber bolts up to have negative camber, it will give you toe in. The Clio should have 10min toe out. When I set my camber bolts at -2 it pulled the wheels in to have 10 min toe in. This made the car incredibly twitchy and almost undriveable on a bumpy road. This might be what is happening with your car.

yeh mate mines partly face the engine at angle of aboout 45 degrees. just use the angle of the brake disc as a guide to camber. you will not get it 100% but you can get it looking good with a little negative camber, equal on both sides.
