Lol yeah it will.

You honestly thinka 8600GS will play Crysis at a decent res and frame rate with AA etc turned on?

My 8800GTX crys when I make it run Crysis.

I still stick by my guns that this is NOT a gaming PC and to be a decent gaming PC rather than average/acceptable would need something like a 8800GT to make it so. But as a media PC it is spot on if you cant be assed with the hassle of building your own

agree, but for not much outlay you can shove a 8800 in the medion and be right there playing the lastest with full AA.

also would say that at this price you would be hard to get the full gaming effect and the media functionality with all the digital TV and media center features, connectivity, hddvd, blueray etc...

so actually what it is ,
as mentioned,
to sumise and coming full circle.. is a great value and very potent media center PC with a spec nobody else has tried yet on the highstreet that can also run some decent online games and productivity software

btw you could have bought one this morning thats all i was saying lol lol :D

just in case anyone was interested

Pricing this up on a few sites PARTS only you are looking at around 580 delivered with the same spec with a slightly better graphics card.

So it does appear to be a major bargain and you get 3 years warranty and dont have to build it yourself either.

Bang in a decent Power Supply and a 8800GT for a couple hundred quid and you have a awesome gaming and multimedia system that does HD for say 825 quid. BARGAIN

Be interesting to see how quiet this is?

Also would like to see in one to see exactly what components they are using. I would hazard cheap ones due to the price there is no other way however if it has a 3 year warranty..... doesnt matter I guess.

its quiet once you turn off Superfetch to manaul then stopping the service ;)

it is quite a nice little machine, the medion range always get updated though and im sure within a few months there will be an even tighter spec`d machine up in aldi for 1 day only (20 per store)

and as you rightly say get a 600w PSU and a 8800GT and your there for gaming aswell, its ripe for some tweaks.

but even so, its still about a billion times faster than the pc it replaces for me and £500 cheaper.
im sure for web, movies, music,tv and some trippy visuals on my lcd after a few pints it will do fine and burn CD`s etc..

you also get media remote and a really decent set of connections + Digi TV via HDMI so id say about £600 to do yourself and of course it has (FSB1333mhz), vista, and some free software aswell in office !

id say for something you can just pick up from ALDI your paying bang on the money perhaps save £30-50 by doing it all yourself... no thanks.

cheers for the interest guys ;)

i think its money V.well spent
