Anyone recognise CA04 YCX

  04 182 Twin Cup
All,
I am due to collect CA04 YCX this week. Anyone aware of the car or previous service history/owners?
Service book at the moment is in lock up and cant be found by current owner, but I am told 7 main dealer stamps and a few private stamps exist as the service history.
Recent receipts indicate new clutch, fresh mot, dephaser pulley, cam belt, ecu remap and terraclean all done within last 4 months. I cant fault the car either - drives clean, decent idle, upgraded Milltek exhaust, good brakes, bodywork pristine, no obvious rust etc.
I have called Renault and they have no record of the history, but have said that does not mean it wasn't conducted by them.
Does anyone know the history of this vehicle?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
PG

Thanks for really useful reply and insight in to the order in which I should ask for information and pay later scenario. I did not know that!!! Where did I say I had paid any £ for the car yet prior to trying to source its history?
You stated you were due to collect the car, which Implies you've bought it. Seems you've done all the available checks already so unless a previous owner turns up on here there's not much more help we can offer.
My tuppence worth says the service book never turns up. Why put a car up for sale without finding the book first? Just say it's lost, at least a buyer would then believe you were honest.
Good luck with your, err collection.

Who did the cambelt? You do not mention the auxiliary belt, if it was not done at the same time, it needs doing immediately as they are a five year item.

Hi Steve, not sure on the AUX belt- I will enquire - is it a costly exercise to do now, after Cambelt change?

Relatively minor, about £100 including the full kit & labour.
One man band specialists are best, as they have nobody to play pass the parcel with.

I checked the company out - Weldbank Garage- CAT Award large garage of the year winner 15-16 and Terraclean workshop of the year 2014, so I'm hopeful it was a proper job.

generic plug it in, flash a map and chuck it out the door job. not trying to pee on your chips but that and the terrclean have both been a complete waste of money.

Car collected. Had a 40min drive back home. All seems ok so far. Noticed a cracked passenger rear disc ok collection, they are drilled and grooved. Apart from that, all seems in order. Will get propose inspection tomorrow. I'm sure this has been covered 1000 times but I can't view any pics etc. Can someone send me a thread on how to upload etc for this forum. Cheers in advance
