anyone recommend H&R on a williams?

  ValverInBits
Have a 16v which i am widetracking using R19 wishbones, ARB and williams shafts.

Just shocks and springs left to go.

Considering a used set of H&R coilovers like the ones sold by kTec

Anybody got any experience of these?

I don't like the look of a "slammed" car, i'd only be going down 35-40mm and i'd be doing fast road driving on my fairly lumpy local B-roads.

Cheers

I have H&R's on my williams. Very happy with them. I have only lowered the car about 35mm but it does seem much firmer in the corners. For B roads though i would stick with standard set up. Even though the H&R's are probably softer than most other coilovers they still feel to stiff for bumpy B roads.

To be honest for road driving standard supsension would be the best, with coilvers really coming into there own for track use or very flat roads. IMO of course.

iv had my avo's fitted for a few years now. you can set them to be as soft almost, and as high, even higher if wanted, than std .

i must admit, there are times when i feel the std suspension would handle all the lumps bumps and potholes in the roads round here a little better, but the overall advantage of coilies far outweighs the disadvantages. go for coilies i say. std is good, but coils better.

will be gettin a set for my other williams soon.....hate the body roll the std susp allows, doesnt really instill confidence, higher speed corners are a lot more stable with the coilies too
