AOL DSL Line Failure

Internet seems to stop working for a while, running an AOL Wireless network with a Netgear router, the 'internet' icon on the front of the router starts flashing amber and i can get no connection? which i believe means a dsl line failuer?

goes back to being ok for a while then?
any suggestions?

Give AOL a call, tell them the problem.
