Apo? lens

My lass is wanting to get me a new lens for my nikon d3000 for my birthday and i fanci getting the Sigma 70-300.

I have been looking on amazon for the lens but came across this:

which has Apo and is £165.

Then the cheaper option which dosent have APO:

which is £127.

Is it worth spending the extra for the apo?

Look for some reviews. Basically buy as many acronyms with Sigma as possible. According to their site it means it uses a higher quality of glass for the elements and should help prevent CA and similar artefacts.

More you pay the better it is when it comes to lenses pretty much across the board.
