Has anyone seen the update to the apple site?

The new phone looks awesome! Watch the videos of how answering and transfering calls works. The SMS conversation video looks good and the camera image library looks very nice and user friendly!

Hope it becomes a consumer product with all these features, i'd be willing to buy one anyway!

Yep, the linux ipod was great.. I have a video ipod and havent had the heart (read guts) to even attempt it on that.. heh.. maybe one day..

Oops! I tried searching but I kept getting a forum error. Went back two pages on the posts and there was no mention! My bad!

Well if it did go wrong just install Apples operating system Firmware Restore Utility

and...

It does not involve tampering with any hardware, so Apple's replace/repair warranties aren't even violated

The kernal for the 4th gen ipods is still in development, so if you have one of these you are pretty much buggered, unless of course your hobby is dissasembly/reverse enginering

My only problem with it is lack of MMS support. You can take picture but you can only email them. And you can only use internet etc when your in a hotspot as theres no 3G support either.

Well want this phone. Although I saw a Nokia advert today with a phone that looks simular, thinking of looking into getting one of those for the time being

We don't know yet.
We only know some VERY vauge details of the US version.. nothing about about the European version yet.

Euro Version will launch in march. (Its rumoured to have a different GSM/WCDMA chipset)

But there is no reason why the US version wont work here.
Dont expect to be able to get it cheaply when it comes here!!!
