Applying 197 Renaultsport badges

Hi all,

I was wondering how you put these on straight (putting it on my mk2).

I know it has a little bit of cardboard to help keep it straight when putting it on, but I'm not exactly sure how to use it to keep the badge straight.

Also, would I need to make sure the underneath is super-clean or would a little rub with a cloth just sort it?

Cheers!

I need to do mine to....

Plan on marking a line out with a spirit level and whiteboard marker.

As for cleaning the pannel an Alcohol/pannel wipe should do the trick.

I'm more concerned about getting it on straight, and wondering how it's done using the piece of card!

The card iirc is used to keep it straight on a MK3 bootlid, hense why it wont work on a Mk2

oh i thought it was just to keep it straight in general, didn't really think that lol

looks like i'll just have to be really careful then!

i made sure it was straight in the card before i stuck it on but it doesnt always work

i hope i dont make a balls up of it, i'll probably end up having to mark a little line with a pencil or something equally outrageous

thanks for the advice all :)

aha yeah suppose. i was thinking a pencil and a rubber too lol

it cant be that difficult (i hope!)

they sure look better than the older ones anyway

I done mine by eye.

Use some Autoglym Bug and Tar remover and a dental floss to pull the old one off and smooth it down so you can put a new one on.
