Applying C5 wheel sealant question

Myself and Dave are getting our wheels refurbed and obviously want to keep them good for as long as possible. I keep seeing that C5 is the dogs but how much would we need for 4 F1s and 4 turbines including caps? 15ml doesn't sound like a lot!

We'll also take our time and apply it before they go anywhere near the cars but is it a case of wipe on, leave 5 minutes and wipe off? Should we use anything else underneath or over it? We do cleaning, not detailing so all advice welcome!

Cheers
John

Not sure how much of that stuff you will need John but if you decide to go for something else consider auto finesse mint rims it's brilliant stuff.

How long does it last? If we only have to do it once a year then we'd be happy with that. Gotta bare in mind we do drive, er, enthusiastically ;)

Interested in this aswell. Need to seal my 2118s big time they get so dirty with about 10 miles it p*sses me off.

I'm sure we'll hav an answer shortly. I have 15ml ready for my missus wheels when I get a spare few hours I'd have thought 15ml will do 2 sets.

15ml of g1 glass sealant will do 3 windscreens and all sides and rear?

15ml should do 8 wheels. But as they're both quite fiddly wheels I'd buy 30 ml. And that's over doing it.

In terms of prep, regardless of them having just been refurbed, they're still likely to be dirty. Wash down with the usually mitt and soapy water. IronX, rinse, clay, wash, IPA wipe down to remove oils and soap residue. Make sure they're 100% dry. Then apply.

Lols. Prep is key. Panel wipe is best when using GT stuff.

I'd buy the Nanolex stuff if you haven't got the GT stuff yet.

Videos online on how to use GT stuff. Search You Tube or pay me and i'll come seal them. :)

Any wax type sealant won't last a year.

Ideal, how much would you take for 8 wheels?

I dunno. I may swap you for some labour. ;)

I'll get the tools (special filter bar) and parts.

Haldex filter/oil and gearbox oil change on the TT? I'd get my Dad or guy at work to do it but I hate hassling him. He does enough for me!

Loller! Superb. You could use my work if need be mate. Nice 2 poster to use. Have you done Haldex before?

I can get all the tools etc so not hassle there.
