Arch liner bracket - anyone removed theirs?

Car  R26
Curtis did a magnificent job setting up my ASTs, but coming from their first track outing the other week, the front seriously tyres seriously rub on the arch liners, and I mean the metal bracket behind the liners.

Curtis said the best thing to do is cut the bracket out, as he would rather not re-adjust the settings etc.

Anyone done this? Any tips/photos/advice?

Ta :)

The amount of s**t that goes past the liners is not good mate.

I wouldn't advise it.

Excuse the crappy pic, but you get the idea :)

You can see where it's rubbing on the metal work, and that's the pit I want out.

Angle grinder! :)

It's only supporting the wing and bumper really so taking a little off will be fine.

Just to check before I go mad with the grinder :D

I just unbolt the bracket, from what i can see it is a single bolt that goes through the bracket wing and bumper.

I can then cut the bracket off, by cutting it vertically further down the bracket if you get what i mean?

And the bumper and wing will still be suitably supported without this bracket?

Mine did the same after my first track day. Just took an angle grinder too it. Bit awkward at tidying it up, but can always file it down where the grinder disc cant reach.
