Are all Renault Wheel nuts the same?

Ali

Car  V6, Trackhawk, GTS
I.e 1.2-172-v6?! I bought another set but didn't think to ask whether they were the same for all applications!!?

im not 100% sure but id say yea, it will only differ with manufactures ie. Renault - Subaru

Well aye, bolts as opposed to studs.

I got a set off the twinterweb, just said Laguna bolts. And i got them powercoated....Didn't think to ask if they were strong enough/long enough/right angle at the head?!

I couldnt tell you that much ha ha ha, these for the V? id think they were strong enough but there wont be enough bolts at a guess as Laguna's are 4 stud apposed to the v6 being 5? (please correct if im wrong)

Anyway if the entire bolt is powder coated it will bit slightly bigger that before anyway wont it?

Aye, but got 4 lockers too so thats not an issue.

Not sure on size. it's only the ends thats being powercoated.

should be fine only thing id think that would be different would be the angle at the end, they will be diagonal as far as i know. Are your originals rounded on the end? if not should be fine

Well yes!! that would be a shout if i was anywhere near the car!!!! Ya trout!

As long as the thread size and pitch is the same you should be ok.
They will be metric (obviously) and as car manufacturers are lazy and mean, I will be stunned if these and the metallurgy are different.

IIRC the tapers on bolt are almost always 60 degrees.
As for the metalurgy of the bolt.

I thought you had a Laguna anyway.;)

no the V6 uses the ones with the wee floating shank collar, but they're crap anyway (they stretch easily and snap)

go for 172 ones
