Are Brembo Max discs that much better than HC ones?

As title really, is the extra cost of the Max discs worth it over the High Carbon ones?

I read on here before that the high carbons are really good/nice for road-use, the max's will be better when you also do trackdays.

Do a search , plenty on here about brakes

Most seem to rate the HC's, and not seen many using the max's.

From what ive picked up on...

its max's and pagid blues for trackdays, and HC's and ds2500's for road/ track use.

Unless you are track daying it all the time.... no. tho they are both good disks.

I was told that the Max discs will wear your pads a little quicker, but offer slightly better performance.

from my experience, pads are where the difference is, and 'better' discs dont really aid that much.

when i come to replace mine, i'll be getting ds2500s and hc discs

i have brembo max and mintex extreme pads, braided hoses

imo i feel is a god set up on my 1.2, i was going to use a different set of pads, but these i find are great for fast road set up.

I'm running these on the road and they're fine - squeal like a b**ch round town sometimes but it's quite fun in traffic annoying people lol

And the front wheels look dirty every 5 f**king minutes! Argh!

Much of a much really, a friend of mine runs the max discs and has driven mine a bit (and at the ring) and says there's nowt in it, and I'm running the HC ones. Both on DS2500's though.
